Cardiomyoplasty

Cardiomyoplasty is a surgical procedure where a patient's muscle, most often the latissimus dorsi, is wrapped around the heart to assist cases of heart failure. The procedure is very rare, with approximately 600 being performed between 1985 and 2003.[1]
