In physics, it is a quantity observed implicitly that comes in different forms such as kinetic, potential or radiant. It is always a necessary requirement for mechanical work.

Energy is measured in joule which is equal to a unit of force times a unit of length. Energy is also equivalent to a unit of mass times a unit of velocity squared.

Forms of Energy

Below is a list of some forms of energy

Heat

Mechanical work

Chemical energy

Kinetic energy

Electric energy

Magnetic energy

Nuclear energy

Radiant energy

Gravitational energy

Elastic energy

Mass E=mc2

Sound energy

Potential energy

Energy can be transform into other forms and at different efficiencies. Things that transform them are called transducers.
