Solution (Chemistry)

In chemistry, a solution is a mixture of different substances that will not separate on their own. An example is salt water - the otherwise solid salt will not precipitate from the water as opposed to sand floating in water which is still solid and will, eventually, fall to the bottom of the suspension.
