Translation (Biology)

In biology, translation is the process of creating proteins based on the sequence in a given piece of RNA. It is one of the major steps in protein synthesis. Translation is carried out by ribosomes. Because many ribosomes can be translating a single molecule of RNA at the same time, translation is also an amplification process.
